Hmmm..this is the first time i heard about this news.  What I know is that would be illegal to rent out or sell properties in Spain starting June 1 WITHOUT energy performance certificate.  I heard it yesterday on ITALK FM . They had an interview with a company called Artica Energy Performance which provides energy certificates here on the coast.  If what you have read is true, then i might be needing to live here 100% of the year! :(

There was an interesting intereview yesterday on ITALK FM with a company which provides EPC in Spain.  They are called ARTICA Energy Performance,  i think.

As a homewoner, I am surprised that this law is taking effect within a couple of months . So soon!  This will effect a lot of foreign homeowners on tha coast especially that there is not much information about this new law. 

I have a villa in Nueva Andalucia which is considerably big so I guess that would cost me much as well.  The guy on the radio was very informative and I would like to get in touch with that company.  Anyone know the telephone number of Artica in Marbella?  thanks.
