There shouldn't be a problem with licences in Campos del Río.  The local mayor is already in big trouble for sneaking the vote through the local council knowing that at least two people on the planning committee had material interests!  The opposition is in uproar:

Grupo Trampolin are the company, and they have a development they are marketing as Trampolin Hills between Barinas and Macisvenda.  According to the literature I swiped from one of the local agents, it's 600 4 bed 'Macarena style' villas on plots from 420sq meters from a whopping 168,000 euros when you can pick up a four bed townhouse locally for 50k!

The literature goes on to say that Barinas is an "idyllic place".  It is now the Grupo Trampolin flags have come down.

Well, it's simple enough.  The Trampolin Hills development of 600 Macarenas has been stopped in Barinas too.  There are no flags.  Everyone knew it was illegal.

Perhaps I should buy a field outside Reading and sell plots on the basis that I 'might' be able to get DPP?  Hmm... that would be silly, no agent would be daft enough to sell plots without PP, and no-one in their right mind would BUY plots on that basis... oh, except in Spain!

Come here to the Ayuntamiento yourself and ask them if you're not sure!

BTW Gunther, the people behind GT have gone to school, they are pretty bright people as it happens - very rich in fact.  That means that anyone investing isn't likely to lose anything - this is good.  The downside is that they are characters that don't play by the law, and were caught out this time.

I for one am pleased that my view will be unspoiled again, no stupid "golf resort" to look at.

Finally, some sense!  Rustic land, no permission, and only the fact that the developer is rich and has gone to school with people in power no longer is sufficient to push things through, even in Spain.

The flags have been taken down, and thankfully they've come down in Barinas / Macisvenda too, where we were under threat of 600+ houses and a 'golf resort'.  Even the estate agents knew it was illegal, but kept bringing people to the development.  Awful, awful business.
