Trust you are well. I think we have spoken before! The only problem we have had in ours is the electricity. On arrival, we need a full 24hrs to get the geyser hot, which, because of the mass of power it uses doing this, trips both the aircon and the stove if we try to use them while heating the water.  Running the lights and telly is ok, but add the kettle, and bang! Once its hot and not drawing so much power everything else is fine. Apparantly to avoid this we would need to upgrade the power input, no doubt at some cost!

Agreed! Once the hotel is sorted and running and cleaned up, we will no doubt have made a good investment. It just takes time I guess. I am greatful we had the sense not to buy off plan, when we did. There are just too many unfinished development standing silent! I do feel for those owners.

If we do manage to get over in October as planned, i'll post an up date here.

Hi All,

 

My name is Ally Kennair, and my husband I are owners at Mirabella, but resident in Cornwall, UK.

We are due to go out to our apartment in October, which sadly although completely finished and liveable, is all locked up and not in use of any kind except friends and family who are always there due to the dreaded 'recession'!

We are playing with either selling or renting, eventually, but are dragging our heels due to the incompletion of the Hyatt opposite us. (We are Block D,  right in face of the dust zone!!). Juan at the office also adivsed that 60% of the complex was still for sale through the developer, which wouldn't bode too well for a private sale.

We were out there in March 09, had a great time, and tried to find out exactly what is going on with the hotel, but came up with nothing concrete, and work on the hotel hadn't moved from Oct 2008 when we were last there to March 2009! Disappointing to say the least.

Has anybody heard anything or been back there after March 2009? A search on the net revealed the hotel was due to open in Autumn 2009, but i'm not sure that's a dead cert. Does anyone know if building has resumed or if completion is nearer or further? Any info you might have would be greatly appreciated.
