Sale documents
The Comments |
Among the documents needed for resale of a Spanish property are a licence of second occupation from the Town Hall & an energy performance certificate (CEE) from a registered provider.
Could anyone who's sold their property in the past couple of years say whether their estate agent took care of getting these documents or whether they handled it themselves.

Your appointed lawyer will work in conjunction with your estate agents.

I googled the answer as to who is responsible for obtaining the 2nd licence. In short it's the vendors responsilbilty. The link here is where I obtained the information: Conveyancing and Property law in Alicante - MSG Legal
I'm assuming that although this company is in Alicante, it may be possible that they can give advice for other areas of Spain. Good luck.

I know that both these documents have to be provided by the vendor but in other European countries, such as France, the estate agent handling the sale takes care of this sort of document for their client. Wondered if the same happened in Spain.
