Hi there,

I'm hoping to start a daycare business in my home, like a childminder in England. Is there anything I need to register or rules to abide by? And I'm assuming I'd need to be autonimo if it's a business rather than just an arrangement between friends.

Many thanks,

Maddie

You must register your activity because it is a business. You will make a profit, so you must pay taxes. In addition, you need a license, which allows you to conduct business activities and pay taxes. Sales tax licenses allow a business or corporation to buy, sell, trade, and pay tax to the state - without one, a business could face legal backlash or closure. Some states do not require a license for a specific activity. But Illinois, for example, requires business licenses for all types of activities. These are small businesses, LLCs, food and liquor sellers, and businesses that conduct most of their business to customers online. Limit your children's access to certain areas of the house. Make it costly.

Where is Illinois? Costa Braver, Costat Del Sol, or even Costa Blanca perhaps?

Limit your children's access to certain areas of the house. Make it costly. Find out what other daycare providers and it support for small businesses in the region are charging and aim for the upper end of that range. This will weed out parents who are likely to be late with payments. Take care when transporting children with behavioral, emotional, or medical concerns. We discovered he had Tourette's syndrome a few years after my wife began caring for him. We knew he was experiencing issues, but when he finally received his diagnosis, my wife gave him roughly two weeks' notice that she couldn't care for him any longer.

Stumbled upon your post from a couple years ago. Hope your childcare business in Spain is up and running by now! It's become really hard to run a business since the pandemic began. You must be brave.
Just a thought, if you've established your business, you might want to consider improving its online presence. A good guest posting service provider can help increase your visibility on the web. They're all about securing quality backlinks that could help parents find your service more easily. Anyway, hope everything's going well with your venture!
