Spanish public or international high school in Valencia
The Comments |
We are moving to Valencia next summer (2021) with our family (3 kids ages 11,11,13) from the United States. We are working on our Spanish every day, but we are not fluent. I've been trying to do my homework, researching schools as much as I can so that we can narrow down our choices on which neighborhood to settle down in. My question for any of you who can answer is do any of the public high schools teach in Castellano or are they are all taught in Valenciano? I'm nervous about throwing my kids into a spanish speaking school and them having to learn BOTH languages from the get go. Or would any of you recommend any particuar bilingual school in the Valencia area? We really want to immerse in the culture and for our kids to learn the language, and truly call Valencia/Spain home, so I am worried about sending them to an International school and not having them learn Spanish enough. Has anyone had experience with high schoolers acclimating to life in Spain?Appreciate any advice, thank you!!

Sending email to Spanish schools generally doesn't work....speaking from experience.
