Valencia Maintain Unbeaten Run With Cardiff Win.  Los Che are having an an excellent pre-season and their good form continued against Cardiff...

Valencia are yet to be defeated in pre-season, after they ran out 2-0 victors over Cardiff. In the last match of their tour of Holland, Los Che, still without their international players, got off to the perfect start when Nikola Zigic headed them in front on seven minutes, meeting a cross from Tiago Carleto.  Valencia continued to dominate, with Ever Banega running the show in midfield, but it was a largely uninspiring first half.

At half-time, Unai Emery introduced Joaquin, Ruben Baraja and Michel into the game, with the latter proving a constant menace.  Cardiff's best chance came when Hedwiges Maduro brought Ricardo Scimeca down in the box, but Miguel Moya saved McCormack's penalty. Then, with time running out, Joaquin sealed the deal with the second on 84 minutes, after great build-up work. Valencia now return to Spain before their next assignment, a match against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
