Living with the Presidente.

A tongue in cheek account of living with the Presidente, OR how to survive and extended 'family' of 183.

The Presidente is IN the building ! !....................
Wednesday, February 18, 2009 @ 7:44 PM

El Presidente and Moi have been to Ikea and Primark at Murcia today.

We got back to out apartment at 6.15pm and by 6.28pm two people had phoned and two people had called.................do they have some kind of announcement system that tells everybody we are at home ???????? It's not a case of 'Elvis has left the building', more a case of El Presidente is IN the building ! ! !

The two phone calls were from owners who found on arrival that they had no TV and wanted to be connected to the satellite asap..........like yesterday !!

One of the callers wants to put in a formal complaint about his neighbours. Apparently there has been much coming and going in the middle of the night and LOTS of noise throughout the night.......................and some 'funny' smelling smoke....................??? GREAT....................just another day in the life of El Presidente!!

The other caller was in a tizz about her Community fees, well really she was agitated because she is on the debtor's list and she said she had paid. Unfortunately ( for her ) it turned out that she hads changed her bank account but not told El Presidente or the Administrator so her direct debit had 'bounced'. The only problem now is that she has incurred a 20 per cent fine................................she is not over pleased about this and El Presidente got a mouth full ( what's new? )

Antway................it's all quiet now so I'm going to sit on my balcony with El Presidente, a cup of coffee, an oat crispy ( from Ikea ) and a cigarette and remember why I am pleased to live in Spain!!

Hi Karen,
Nice to have you back.
I have a similar problem as you describe.
How does my husband know when dinner is about to be served?
It doesn't matter at what time I am about to dish up, he wanders into the room and sits down just after I have taken the warmed plates from the oven or the cold plates from the cupboard (if we're having salad).
I'm mystified.

He then asks,
'Do you want me to do anything?'

and everyday my reply is,
'Er, no I've done everything now.'
How does he do it?
