ACTIN, making changes for animals in Spain.

Animal care Treatment International Network has been set up to make changes for the animals in Spain, who suffer abandonment and cruelty. What we plan to do is to bring awareness of the problems to the world’s media. We need to promote education, new legislation and support neutering campaigns. It is necessary to get support Internationally to put pressure to bear on the Spanish government and to persuade them to take more responsibility for the lack of animal welfare in Spain. ACTIN plans in the future to bring about these changes through media awareness. Actin will tell the truth of how it is on an everyday basis, particularly in the country villages of Murcia, where there is a lot of ignorance and abuse. They will tell of what the volunteers deal with and how the abuse of animals is getting worse. ACTIN will endeavor to bring about campaigns for sterilization and education in schools. There is a need for a Society to protect the animals and this is what ACTIN aim to do in the future but we need much support to achieve our aims.

It is with a sad heart to post that Lola, the 10 yr old dog who had been tied up for all her life, has died today

 Lola's story here

From my friend Angie Mccready, her owner.
R.I.P. Dear sweet Lola.
Lola spent her whole life on a chain (10 years) until Viv Actin Spain rescued her and brought her to me. We fell in love with her at first sight.
Last night Lola was sick, today I took her to the emergency vet as she went downhill really quickly. The vet diagnosed peritonitis, and said she wouldnt survive the operation as her kidneys were failing as well. It all happened so quickly.
We are heartbroken even tho we only had her for about 4 weeks. At least she did'nt die on the end of that chain, and she knew love from us all here.
She will never be forgotten.
Bless you Lola. XXX

So so sad. R.I.P Lola <3
At least she knew love and human contact before she went to the bridge.
From now on she will be free, playing in the green grass with all her new friends.
A new STAR is born on the sky <3

How wonderful that she died free. How wonderful that Viv and friends set her free and that Angela loved her so much How terrible to have spent her poor life chained. How can our race be so inhumane? How ashamed we can be of our fellow men.
Lola...heaven or oblivion...recover, be at peace and if you have memory try to forgive.
