Deposit not returned after 2 month visit to Spain

We have just returned to the UK after a lovely 10 week journey through the west of France, and stayed in Spain in a quad on Urb Entre Naranjos near Los Montesinos in the Alicante region for 8 weeks, and then returned via the east coast of Spain and east of France.

While there we heard some rumours about a certain individual who had arranged holidays for individuals but had not been paying the owner of the properties concerned the rental monies.

We had deposited £300 into this individuals bank account in the UK and paid the rental money for 2 months into his Spanish Bank Account in Los Montesinos on our arrival.

Needless to say we hear that the owner of the property we stayed in has never been paid a penny of what is owed to him by this individual for our stay and for 2 prior stays by other people, and now we find that we cannot get him to return our deposit.

The purpose of my Blog is to warn people about this individual and to suggest you do NOT have him find tennants for your properties, or rent properties that he is involved with.

His name is Martin Chambers, I found him via the property add for the quad that I rented through the EyeonSpain website.

BEWARE: Martin Chambers is not to be trusted, he is a con artist with the gift of the gab.

Unfortunately it's people like this that bring such a bad name to renting in Spain.
