Galgos del Sol (Murcia) makes saving galgos in Spain a reality!

There is an ABSOLUTE NEED to highlight the plight of galgos (greyhounds) in Spain. This blog is to help the refuge, Galgos Del Sol in Murcia, Costa Blanca. http://galgosdelsol.org/

Another starving, underweight, sick & injured galga needs help, she's been given the name Marie
Thursday, March 31, 2011 @ 9:13 PM

Marie was caught on the streets of Torre Pacheco on 29th March. This is a town full of abandoned galgos. She is injured, extremely underweight, which you can't appreciate in the photos, and frightened. She has no microchip, she has not been vaccinated as she is too thin, her blood test has been done and sent for analysis.

I saw Marie today, she's a sweetie! I gave her some treats, she was nervous initially but then she realised I wasn't going to hurt her & she came towards me for the treat. She is skin & bone though with sores down her back, poor love!
