Galgos del Sol (Murcia) makes saving galgos in Spain a reality!

There is an ABSOLUTE NEED to highlight the plight of galgos (greyhounds) in Spain. This blog is to help the refuge, Galgos Del Sol in Murcia, Costa Blanca.

If you aren't able to adopt from Galgos del Sol please consider our sponsorship program.

As quickly as our dogs are adopted, more are added. Check out our new additions (galgos, pods and mixed breeds). If you aren't able to adopt, please consider our sponsorship program. The more dogs we take in, the greater our needs! Galgos Del Sol | Adoptions | Available Galgos

WOWSERS... GdS have been selected to receive $1000 from Greyhound Connection group in the USA. GDS has taken many new galgos recently and will continue to catch the ones on the streets here never turning away so this donation and the donations from our Facebook supporters & others allow us to continue this work.

Just to remind you when we take in a new galgo it's not just just space it's adoption preparation which is approx 300 euros, so the other day when we took in 3 galgos from the perrera and the podenco the next day that's almost 1000 euros right there especially as Cezar, the podenco, had complications with a testicle in his stomach.

So thank you Greyhound Connection and thank you for all your support from all around the world. You can see their group here and hopefully if you get time whizz over and say thanks for selecting GDS xxx

Sherry and Jane are here visiting from the USA. These two puppies were picked up from the streets & are now called Joey and Amalie (1 male and 1 female). If you would like to sponsor them please click this link

Thank you SO much for helping us.
