Just a quick hello from us.

Stummbled arross the site a few days ago, as was doing some reserch in to renting properties,  Have read through a few of the theads that have been started and thought it was now time to introduce us/my self

My name is Neil (29 in November) and my Partner is Louise (28 next January), we have 2 little girls Abigail (5 in November) and Paige (3 next April)

Well a little about us....

I'm in executive serch..... lol or a normal title a recruitment consultant, i specialise in the Mechanical and Electrical side of the consturction industry, i am also an Electrician,  Louise is a part time vetenary Nurse and full time mum to our girls. At the moment i live in London during the week and travel home to March in Cambridgeshire on a friday night.

The reason for us looking at properties..... well have been getting a little tired of living away during the week, the construction market has slowed dramaticly in London due to a, dare i say it, pending ressesion??  Now please dont think that this is, as some people might, being done with the idalicstic ideas of sitting back and drink Majitos every night, (although that does sound like a nice idea) we have in fact lived in Lanzarote for 2 years a few years back, we returned to the UK due to the pendiong arrival of Paige.

Now we're ready to come back....... The uk is falling apart, the goverment has ruined what was a very nice place to live, rising petrol, taxes and living costs have gotten out of control and to be honest i dont see the point in slogging away all week to be no better off and still be 150 miles away from my family.

now....I happen to come across a job doing exactly what i do now, just on the costa del sol , Fuengirola area, a place we have holiday'd to a few times already, staying in the holiday village, and have explored the area, been to the Zoo and Selwo marina...... so i have been playing email tennis with the MD of the company and i am now looking to head over for a day to have a look round the offices and local area (Campo Mijas). there is also some one who already works for the company who still services their client base in the UK from thew offices on the costa, they have an 0207 number going in to the office and have also been asked by a major contractor to look at some one with my back ground( not me, just some one like me.. lol) due to an imprend major development on Gib.  It would apear that work for me is pretty much sorted....i suppose that the questions i have will have been answered some where already, and hopefully there is a serch function that can help me, but if any one can point me in the right direction as to .......

Schools for the Girls in the local area.
English Vets in the Local area, (my spanish is basic i can get by, Lou's is a little less than that, but is some thing we are working on)
bank accounts and NIE numbers, becoming a resident 

etc..etc that would be great..

Well a quick hello has turnbed in to an essay so i'll leave it there for now, i hope we will get to know you all more in the future months....

Welcome to our forum Neil & Lou, where I'm just another member. I'm just here all the time as I haven't a life, ha ha !

All of what you ask has been discussed endlessly before, as I'm sure you'll appreciate, as the whole world seems to be wanting to move to Spain.

I'm going to suggest you pop into these boards (just click blue links) & look at the threads. IF you feel no one has tackled your particular question before, feel free to start a new thread & kindly head it with a unique question not another "please help us" type as it's getting commonplace & you may find no one will bother posting as they won't have even clicked on it. Please note that members deviate all over the place & you'll find that we all (including me ) have posted in threads we shouldn't have about other things so use our (rather pathetic & the site owner, Justin, knows it ) search facility too.

You must just help yourself & you'll find we'll help if you have probs, ok ! Good luck.

Oh, remember that most of us who help may just have Googled for info so try that yourself too please...  so far ????
