Spanish TV Urbanisation issue

Looks as though they are making good progress.  strange does not seem as though there is any work being done on the layout of the golf course. I was led to believe the golf course is laid out before construction starts, as in deed they have done at Mar Menor II. I just wonder if the thinking is to get the building work done first and share the facilities of La Torre for a while. The link road is nearly complete and is only a few hundred yards away.

 

 

Thanks for the photos it seems to be coming on really well. I agree about the golf course where is it? I  am still not getting any info from parador despite 3 phone calls as to when phase2 will be started does anyone know?

My Spanish solicitors says they were due to start phase 2 in November, but can't get written confirmation from Polaris and neither can I. Thanks for the photos, good to see some evidence of progress!!

 We are purchasing on Phase 1 and have been chasing Polaris for a certificate stating the build start date. Yet despite all the pictures of the building they will not issue a certificate. Perhaps the buildings are a mirage in the dessert!

We heard from our solicitors today that the reason for the delay is that Polaris does not have the necessary licences yet and have commenced the building under a special licence. The situation is supposed to be resolved shortly.

we have already been waiting for 2 years for our property and when we purchased were told we would have our property by dec 07. I do like the polaris consept and the properties but i just wish people had been honest with us from the start . Sorry i am having a bit of a rant at the moment but to be truthful i wish we could get out of the contract we have and free up my money to buy a resale property now and not have to wait probably another 2 years i just want my place in the sun before i am to old to enjoy.

I telephoned Polaris over Xmas and their Customer Services told me that phase 1 build commenced in the Summer, phase 2 started in November and that phase 2 was due to hand over first half of 2007. I didn't bother asking for that in writing because I know I wont get it. I will chase my solicitors again for something in writing, but they seem as laid back as Polaris.

Oops, I meant first half 2009.

I noticed on the aerial photos that, apart from the fact that phase1 is well underway, the cranes are already erected on the southern edge but there are none on the original phase 2 (northern edge).  We have heard what has happened to Phase3 on the northern edge but nothing about phase2.  I phoned Customer Services on Monday who told me that there was no start date for phase2 and that he would look into offering me other apartments on the southern edge which are in the process of construction.  I think there may be some confusing advice being given on the numbering of the phases.  Was your customer service advice referring to the original phase2? Having been moved from the Condado originally (and not been offered a chance to return once is was back on track) I am not that happy!  Does anyone have any news about the original phase2?

We have bought on phase 2 after being moved of condado .We are not happy with the situation but we are going to la torre on the 13th so will try and find out as much as i can while we are there.

My block is marked at phase V on the original brochure. Would be great to get some consistent updates from anyone!!

I'm planning to get out to Torre this year, but haven't decided when yet.

Well that seems to give us two views that phase 2 (which was phase 5) has commenced. Would be great if Dream Girl can pin someone down at Polaris Head Office and get some decent facts (and photos would be great aswell!!) to share with us.

I Will definetly try my best does anyone have a name of the best person to speak to. I am a bit confused if phase 5 is now phase 2 .what has happened to my apartment on phase 2 where i have bought origanally. does that make sense to anyone?

I think you will find that the original phase2 has been put on hold - hence the lack of cranes in that area. There seems to be cranes on all phases bar the original 2 and 3.  Why we on the original phase2 have not been offered the same deal as those on the original phase3 I do not know and would be grateful if you could raise that when you are out, Dreamgirl.  I am definitely getting that familiar old sinking feeling! (Four years and all I have got to show for it is a patch of air!) The fact that customer services told me that they would look into other options for me worries me.

Hi all, another buyer here of Phase 2 property after originally buying on the Alhama project . Just happened to come across this board after searching the net for any kind of progress information available because Polaris haven't replied to my emails requesting such. Doesn't look too promising from what I have read so far. I think they have possibly got too much workload on now with the Alhama project being given the goahead once again. Appreciate any further information people may have, but it looks like a visit to Spain will have to be arranged to try and get a clear picture of what is happening!

Sorry to add to the confusion- but by chance we were in the main office in September and only by chance did we see new layouts and realised that the original phase 2 (we are in block 84) is now phase 7.  It is very difficult to get any straight answers from PW.  With the state of the exchange rate at present I for one am relieved that we will not be required to pay for our apartment in mid 2008 as was originally stated.  We are expecting end of 2009 at the earliest.  I hope the exchange rate has improved by then.

We're also on the original phase 2 - block 90 (I think). We put down a 25% initial payment in October 2006, with a view to a second staged payment of 15% to be paid 9 months later. Polaris have never asked for this second installment - so that was ominous. The silence has been deafening.The only communication from them has been to wish us a happy christmas - felt like sending them some sentiments in return. Looks as though we'll be nearer retirement than we'd planned by the time of completion. Looking forward to hearing from those of you heading for La Torre in the near future - good luck.
