Electricity disconected

I went into my friends apartment on las Terrazas yesterday and there was no electricity !

I removed the food from the fridge and freezer which was still ok !

I let the owners know what had happened but we still are not sure why they were cut off

the reason I am posting this is when I asked to see the meter ( which had not been removed )

i was shown a list of maybe 15 properties including my friends 

all had there electricity cut off on Monday 7 th of September 

so please get your key holders to check your properties 

Best way to keep an eye on the utilities is to register on line with them, its simple and can be done in english.  You will need your latest bill to do this.  They will even send an email letting you know there is a bill due so you can then check with your bank you have sufficient money.  Key holders could go round today and check but 5 mins later the utlities companies could come round and cut you off.  They dont normally remove meters.  Have found sometimes you may have missed a payment 6 months ago (or even a connection charge was not paid) then subsequent bills are paid fine.  Utilities then decide to cut you off for the missed payment 6 months ago.  Unlike the UK they will try once with the direct debit and not again for that bill.  If you have any doubts can call Ibrodrola - Resortalia publishes the numbers on the weekly update - will need to quote contract number or NIE number

Hello All

With referance to the meter been taken out,I did miss a payment due to changeing bank. I only found out when i came over later that year .And my meter was taken without any notice, They also charged me again to put a new meter in and re-conect me.And they wernt very fast at re-conection.
