Recent rain block 290

morning all. We are due to complete on our appt in block 290 this week. I have had reports in significant rainfall and just wondered if anyone had experienced issues due to this as we don't want to complete if there is a chance of water damage or something needing sorted out.

Welcome to Terrazas we are at our apartment now block 291 we have had really heavy rain and thunderstorms over the last couple of days and no issues at all in our  block or surrounding areas the only real problem was the roads round by the main entrance into the resort just a lot of sand and soil washed into the roads and a few large puddles but they are already cleaning this up a couple of lads jetwashing the main entrance to get rid of the soil .forcast is back to hot sunny weather on wed so by the time you arrive normal service is resumed .

Yes, there was some heavy rain on the morning of the 6th September. 30mm of rain fell between midnight and 3:00am. In total, 40mm fell in 12 hours. More than the average for the whole of September! 

The security guards opened the storm drains to let the water run away. As Graham has already posted, phases 2 and 12 have no problems. The majority of the problems are from water running in from the surrounding fields through the entrance and round the roundabouts on the North East of phase 1. This area was flooded with a fair amount of mud and debris left behind.

The worst damage is down the East side of the resort, part of the perimeter wall has been washed away and we have a new stream running down the road into a new lake on the east side of the golf course which the ducks are loving!
