Problem with insects?

Hi

We're looking to holiday this summer in the El Valle resort but after reading some internet posts I believe there is a problem with flies and other insects from the golf course?  One post I found said that eating in the villa garden of an evening was impossible due to the flies?

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

We stayed for 2 weeks last August and did not have any problem with insects. We weren't golf course facing but we had many a good night eating (and drinking) outside.
