Hi Marie l think we are at he other end, as far as l can see there are 4 buildings,2 buildings your end  then the pool and garden space  at the end of them,  then the 2  buildings my  end  ( Brisas Del Mar 2)the completion date is before Oct 08.l think this is for the complete complex,as the construction appears to be in 3 phases, but if its like my last appartment in Almoradi they will try to get them all finished around the same time and get us all over there in a 1 to 2 month period to sign the title deeds etc is vthis any help Regards Pat.( Ps which part of lreland are you in.)

Hi Marie My dad was from Tiperary  (a little village called Lochmore near Templemore) and my mother is from Carlow ( Carlow town) one of my many cousins from tip used to teach in Limerick and has a beutiful bungalow (more like a ranch) near obriens bridge Clare near the river Shannon, great for fishing when l visit or up to loch Derg. and a bit of shopping in Limerick.  l have also been up to Galway and stayed in a place  called Salt  Hill on Galway Bay near Galway town (l am sure Adrian knows it) just over the bridge and  just down  the road, l have also stayed in Tipp, Carlow, Wexford, Waterford, Tramore and of course Dublin. unfortunetly l was raised in Birmingham England and l have not won the lottery to afford a place in lreland (yet) Almoradi is a lovely tradional spanish town although they are building a lot of apartments around it now (like every where in Spain) its just a few miles up From Formentera. These apartments are part of my pension plans(as the goverment here is determined no one shall have enough to live on. l will then have the choice of selling my house in England and one of the Spanish ones and live the life of reily. Regards Pat.

Hi Guys,  Its all very exciting, we can't wait until the apartment is ready so that we can take regular trips.  Were looking forward to future photo's as the development progresses.

I have family living in NAAS, Kidare, but my mother is originally from Kerry.  We to have two children, Joshua 10 and Abigail 6.  Like Pat this is our Pension fund, earlier this year Chris was made redundant and although its the best thing that has happened it has made us rethink the future!!

Regards Sharron

Greeting to all !

It is really nice to chat to my future neighbours !! We are on the pension trail as well. The sooner I retire to Spain, the better !!!!!! Im having a stressful monday morning at work !! It was also lovely to hear of the irish connection !!!

Pat, We live in Annacotty which is quite near O'Briens bridge so I know that area as well. Isnt it so beautiful around there. The views are breathtaking !! We would also know salthill well !! I have often walked along the promenade. One of my most favourite hotels is The Galway Bay Hotel which  is just there. You should check it out if you are there again. I was in  Sheldon, Birmingham last May for my nieces Holy Communion and I had a great time!! You are so right about property in Ireland  - you would need to win the Euromillions !!

Sharon, Where abouts in Kerry is your mother from? I took a look at the plans of brisas del Mar and I just loved the layout of your apartment !! Its great to have the 3rd bedroom. Hopefully Abigail and ALex will become playmates. Id say there is too much of an age gap for the other two boys - but you never know !! Where abouts in England to you live ?

Kind Regards

Marie

Hi ya guys,

A bottle or two of wine sounds good to me !!

We have bought through Ambasun and when we go back out (don't know when yet - probably summer hols) they will show us some of the shops.  I have looked and enquire on the web but there is only one company that has a brochure and they have showrooms here in England, but I have been advise they are somewhat expensive!!  If you track down the various companies in spain on line  that do packages and tell them what you want, they will give you a quote so it will give you a good indication.  I got the shopping bug just after xmas - talk about being keen !!!  If you like Ikea, there is one in Murcia and they are also on the web!

Marie, my mother is from Listowel in Kerry.  We live in the Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands and I work in Birmingham city centre, Pat is probably 20-30mins from me and Sheldon is about the same !!  The kids are well excited about us buying in Spain.  Its interesting to see all the different layouts of each apartment !

Regards Sharron

Hi guys !!

Finallly we have some sunshine in Ireland although still cold, But at least there is a touch of Spring in the air.

Sharon thanks for that tip on IKEA - I will definately get a lot there. But then again I think their furniture is flat packed and my husband does not have a good relationship with flat-packs. They have had many a row in the past !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in Listowel over christmas to visit my best friends boyfriend and loved the town. I thought that everyone was so friendly and easygoing (that has gone in many parts of ireland) We had a few drinks at the Listowel arms and then dinner in an italian restaurant near the square then on to J B keanes for a music session. Great night.

Incidently guys, Karen ( my best friend) has also bought an apartment at brisas del Mar - second floor looking on to the courtyard - the more the merrier !!!!!!!!!!!! as she  like a few glasses as well..................I must get her to start joining in on the conversation !!!!!!

Pat, do you go over many times during the year? its great that air travel has become so cheap !!!!!!!!

Must dash and do some work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marie

Hi Marie,Sharron,Karen and any more owners who join in. Yes Marie now that my apartment in Almoradi is up and running l go over often  (6 weeks a year ) With the cheap air fares ( l book them all up to a year in advance) and no accommadtion costs Plus the amount of Duty frees l bring back l actually save money by going. l save between £450 to £900 each trip.( 6 weeks holidays a year in the sun or stay at home and  spend more.no contest really.) Gordon Brown will be crying. You have all got that to look forward to (unless you are moving over full time) l will keep the photos up to date each trip so we will watch the progress with great interest and anticipation. Regards Pat (ps l think they will have to build a Brisas Del Mar Bar )

Hi All

Just back from our trip. The construction site was buzzing !! Good progress is being made with brisas 1 - Phase1.  Phase2 & 3 just afew weeks behind. There is even a new spanish bar/restaurant opened up to the right of the site. We had a beer there and it is really cute. There is also talk of an Irish Pub opening in one of the other commercials - Too much tempation !!!!

Sharon, you would be looking on (to your left) to this restaurant from your balcony. I also solved the mystery of Mercadona. It is not where those show bungalows are but just across the litte road. It will be on the complete ground floor of the apt building thats there (brisas del Mar 2 I think)

Just one change with the tiling of the apartments - the kiddie blue/yellow tiles are gone. Now both bathrooms will have those lovely charcoal grey ones.

THE WEATHER WAS BRILLIANT !!!!

Marie

Hi Marie, great photo's, glad you had a good time.  Great with the restaurant being so close, we can fall in and out easily - no taxi required - do you think they will do a take away service if we install a pully system to our balcony?

Thanks for confirming about the Mercadonna.  On the site opposite where we thought the Mercadonna was going to go, were you able to confirm what would be put there instead as it all seems to be a bit vague!!

Regards  Sharron
