APARTMENT BUILDINGS/CONTENTS INSURANCE

I AM GETTING CLOSE TO MY INSURANCE RENEWAL DATE IN 2 WEEKS TIME, I HAD COMPULSARY INSURANCE WITH CAJAMURCIA BANK LAST YEAR HOWEVER THIS YEAR I INTEND TO SHOP AROUND AS I AM SURE IT WILL BE CHEAPER ELSEWHERE.

ANY RECOMENDATIONS PLEASE?????

I was recently in the same position but I forgot to notify my mortgage bank to cancel the policy at the end of the first 12 month period and they automatically took the renewal fee out of my account.......  As it happens Bancaja, my bank, were very helpful and once I had informed them that I had got insurance elsewhere and faxed them a copy of the policy they refunded the money straight away.  Make sure you cancel it with your mortgage people as it is usually very expensive anyway....  I got both contents and building insurance with accidental damage from Intasure (www.intasure.com) for the same price as just the building insurance from Bancaja !!

We also went with Intasure after beibg with Polaris World (Zurich) last year.  They came in E75 cheaper and you can pay over 12 months at no extra cost.

We also use Intasure, both in Condado and Egypt and have no complaints thus far. Checked the market before we took them on and they looked better than most.

Thats good advice all round many thanks, Intasure it will be at 180 euros which I thought was cheap to be honest but it is better to canvass general opinion on the quality of products etc
