English satalite

I am hoping that there will be someone out there who can offer some assistance.

We are visiting in September and are looking to install some sort of satallite (I am a bit of a none stater when it comes to anything technical so please bear with me). We have been told that only digital TV will be available after August and are not quite sure how to progress.

Could we get by with buying some sort of Free View box as in England or do we need to invest in a SKY box or similar. If we have to go down the SKY box route is there anyone in Block 6 who would consider allowing us to hook into their line (however that is done), and how much they would ask to allow us to do this.technophobe

HI.

You need a sky box freeview box won't work because it runs of a UK ariel. Buy a sky box from Uk (lot cheaper £20-30) . Plenty of sat shops sell the basic one or ebay. You don't need a card. Take it over and contact an installer and you will then get all freeview channels. We used Dmatch in Mojacar. Cost around 400 euros to supply and install a disk.
