I noticed last time we visited SG that a new Indian Restaurant had appeared in the Industrial Estate - Village Indian?

We usually go to the other one (can´t remember it´s name), but I would be interested in any opinions about the two.

Plus.... why is Indian food so expensive in Spain, whereas Chinese food is good & cheap - maybe there is a chef out there who can answer this.

Thanks

Kathy

Hi Kathy & Bob

Out of the two (Village,Palace) I prefer the Village but I can also recommend The Alambra Steak House on the corner between the two. They serve Steaks & Indian dishes etc, which makes it easier if people want a more varied menu.

We've also been to both Indian restaurants, and prefer The Village, both for its food and service.

Hi there.

Just back after 2 1/2 weeks out there.

I have eaten in the 3 Restaurants

Jaipur Palace, The Village and the Alhambra PAlace.

Jaipur - Excellent, people travel miles to eat there, booking essential, service excellent and decent value, but about 15% more than you would expect.  Approx €5 for a starter, €9 for a main, house wine is nice and only€8.50 a bottle.

Alhambra is also excellent, and as stated before, also does other dishes,  European and African, a much better choice if you have a big group as more choice.  Owned by the Jaipur people, and also now very very busy, again, booking recomended. Similar pricing.

The Village, slightly cheaper and has salsa and belly dancing at the weekends.  facing the bowling alley.

3 excellent options and we are lucky to have them on our doorstep.

Jason

Well, we tried the Village on our last weekend at SG & it was OK, but I´ll be returning to the Jaipur on my next visit. Purly personal taste, but the Jaipur is where we´ll be eating our curry in the future.

Thanks again for the comments.

Kathy
