Hi frankie

Do not know a lot about Los Narangos as we have a two bed apartment in Jardin 5. however we were over mid to the end of January & drove all around the area.

It is really starting to look great & the view from the apartments on narangos are fantastic on all levals.

Infact you can see the apartments from quite a long way away. Its great when you see them because you know you are almost there

Are you like me & a non driver or is it the case that you do not fancy driving on the oposit side.of the road.

My husband had quite a few laughs as I continually got in the drivers seat. Wrong side of the car.

I think you would benifit by having a car & we always rent as there are lots of great places to see, but if you are happy just soaking up the sun or jumping into the pool then its great. there is a bar / resturant between jardines 5 & 7 . some say its expensive but we have found the food good & reasonable for the money. You can just pop in for coffee & I can guarantee the donuts.

At the moment the foro which was going to be close to jardnes 5 & 7 has been moved & is now between Jardin 13 & narangos & easy for you to walk to . That promises to have a good selection of Shops. The supermarket currently behind the Bar will move to the faro on completion & then it will be turned into a gym. Or so we have been told. there are also tennis & other courts next to the supermarket & will remain there .

It is not cheap to buy with all the additional costs and with the euro not so good at the moment but everyone we have met so far including many spanish people has made us feel very happy that we took the plung.

So for us we would say Yes go ahead. time will help the place to grow  even though it may take a little longer now than expected. but its a move we havent regretted

Best wishes Jan & Ham

Hi Frankie

Welcome to the forum, I get the impression from your short post that you haven’t visited Polaris World, Condado De Alhama or the Alhama Jardin, Naranjos Jardins or penthouses? If this is the case then a personal visit is essential as this is going to be a vast complex and in the future will have everything you need on site. At the moment although it is developing well facilities are limited and a car is a requirement in my view, but this is rapidly changing and probably will develop significantly over the next 12 months. That said this development is a place you will either fall in love with or consider it not for you, the only way to see is too visit for yourself, if you haven’t already.

You have a number of ways to do this.

Rent someone’s apartment on Alhama Jardin or Naranjos Jardins, at your own but reasonable cost or contact Polaris World or an agent who will probably pay for you to come and have a look, or at the very least at very low cost, the decision between the two options is deciding if you would rather look around the complex in your own way and in your own time or if you would rather be taken around by a sales agent. Whichever way you just ask on this forum for additional information on the way you choose and someone will provide additional information.

If you have visited Condado and just want an update on progress, well then it is progressing well despite the world slowdown but it is important to note this was always a long-term project originally 5 to 10 years and this time scale has now probably extended due to the recession. However this is no building site as the areas they are building are in the main done to completion and to a very high standard, but as I say you must see it for yourself. If you require additional information just ask, it may be helpful if you tell us a little about yourself so we can better help.

Hope this helps

Phil

Hi Frankie

Welcome to the forum.  I have to agree with Phil (PGM)  that it really would be best for you to go and have a look before making any decision.  Although  we made our decision, like most on this forum, when it was just a paper plan, so had no idea what the reality would be.   We have not regretted our decision and get more and more exited the more we see it.  As Phil says, there are no real facilities at the moment, especially at Naranjos and unless you spend your time at your own apartment around the pool etc it is a bit of  a walk down to the "Surgery". It can be done, as we found out on New Years Eve, though how long, I have no idea,  two steps forward, 3 back if you get my drift.  Once the Foro is finished, this will be 100%  improvement and obviously the golf club house will be there.  So, if  you have the time to wait ( Shouldn't be too long ) you could get a pretty good investment at this stage.  At the end of the day it depends on what sort of holidays you like.  If you like getting out and about, and/or beach holidays, you really would need a car, although I think we should still get a shuttle bus service, of some sort in the future, haven't heard anything about that for a long time, so can't comment. Whatever you choose to do, Good Luck  and we may meet in the future. We are on Naranjos 7.

Hi Frankie,

I do have to agree with the rest of the comments, depending on how old your kids are(thats if you have any)What kind of holidays you enjoy and what you want from your property (ie long term investment) or just holiday home, will help us to help you make a decision. We bought into a concept and a quality that only PW could  offer.

Would certainly recommend visiting not only Condado but other more completed sites to see what the finished article would be like.

Good luck no matter what you choose

Ali & Si
