Furniture

We completed in October on phase 2 and we now need to furnish but as the Euro is so strong we cannot now afford a furniture pack as we intended. Does any one have any recomendations regarding shops in the area or has anyone bought in the UK & taken furniture over themselves. Also please note that we did get our white goods from Peinsa after a lot of argueing so it is worth persevering.

We are currently looking at options for furniture, we didn`t fancy the `package` approach so I made enquiries about buying in the UK and shipping over, which ever way you do it the cost, excluding furniture was around £1500 to £2000, another option would be to hire a van and ferry/drive from France but one hell of a drive & you`re still looking at about £1000 I reckon.

I have still to find out if Ikea will let you purchase in the UK (in £s) and supply from their branch in Murcia...good idea but not very likely me thinks.

I would be very interested in what your approach to Peinsa was re obtaining white goods.
