Hi All
Three of us played golf this morning on S/G playing all 9 holes, except there's no holes yet so no flags, but we played up to the greens which are looking very good. There are a few bunkers without any sand and the tee's are a bit patchy but overall the 9 holes, give it a month or so will be excellent. It's a great course with many challenges hope you all like water and I don't mean for drinking. It would have been better if there had been a 19th hole.
Tony

Hi Tony

Are the fairways wide enough to be generous to hackers like me??

Cheers

Hi Nigel
There are a few wide fairways but you will either find water, gullies or scrub area's to the sides of the fairways and  that's if you miss the bunkers of course. Happy Golfing. There's to much sand in the bunkers it almost comes over the top of your shoes it's so soft and deep.
See you on the course soon.
Tony

Hey Tony,

You forgot to mention that, if you go into a bunker, the ball buries into the sand (as YOU know), and is (1) hard to find, and (2) even harder to get out. Having said that, it will be a good course to play, loads of sand, desert, water, trees, scrub areas, I believe that there is also a lot of fairway knocking around, with a bit of luck we'll find it next time I'm down, in November.

John  B.
p.s. I hope that the phantom Spelling Checker ain't looking in, he  may try to double his postings (to TWO). L.O.L.

Hi Tony,

Hell, I've just got back after a good week at SG, including a round of golf (on SG with Chic & YKW)&, and you come back with that. OK, I'm out to New Brighton beach today, with my grandson, wellies on, plus my Arctic Thermal socks, but it ain't the same, as you obviously know!! - 'take a bucket & spade', I refuse to comment - I want my Lawyer present before I reply!!

Sure, I wish that I wos there, will be in a few weeks, in the meantime, I suggest that you forget the 'bucket & spade' and take a JCB instead  (judging by the lay of the ball (yours)on the first hole.)

See you soon,

John B.
p.s. beware the phantom speller, he's around, you know!!!!
p.p.s Hey Janet, tell him to stop, he's making me jealous!

Hi Chic & John
We had our Sunday Morning 4 ball on S/G (Eric, Don, Brian & Myself ) Well can you believe this, Eric & Don's wives went out 30 mins before we started and put a yellow ball on every green so we could play up to the ball, (because no holes yet ) I thought that was great of them. After falling over in the mud on my way to the first tee, Ha Ha Ha. Great start, I ended up in the bunker next to the green well when I hit the ball it came out of the bunker about 120mph but it did touch the yellow ball on the green so it's down in 4, mind you I went via the driving range.
We all enjoyed the golf and should be on there every Sunday Morning come shine or shine.
Sierra Golf Course it's not quite ready but it's great.
Hi Chic your names already in the hat for Sunday 16 Nov
The bunker's are not bad at all I think the rain has made them a tad better, Mind you I didn't try them all out just a few.
What date do you get out here Chic??
Tony
