I too considered a gas BBQ, but bought an electric grill instead. They are quick and easy to use, easy to clean and give the same taste as other types of BBQ. They are also much safer to use, particularly if you are renting. They are relatively cheap to buy; around €30. I was so impressed I brought one back to the UK and the gas BBQ is now redundant. mine is a Rodeo, but there are many different types around.
