Hi All,
There have already been 5 letters printed in the local Press in spain in the last three weeks. Three this week in the Leader, Coastrider and Costa Blanca News from different people all asking for support in the SADM project to be completed and the plight of the purchasers. There will also be an article comming out shortly about the situation from one of the papers. I believe that the press can have a positive effect in letting the public know the position we are in and the Spanish purchasers might also read them.
Here is some of those  printed

Santa Ana del Monte Golf and Country Club

(Published: 02/07/2008)

I write to you regarding the Administration of San Jose Inversiones and Herrada del Tollo and to let you know that not all purchasers have the return of their money as their aim. I am a purchaser at Santa Ana del Monte Golf and Country Club and I, like others, wish for the development to go ahead and to have my property.

I believe that the building of SADM and its facilities will enable me and others, to have our properties resulting in money going into the local economy, creating jobs when they are surely needed and providing improved local facilities for all.

I therefore, ask for you to please support the continuation of the development of SADM and do all that you can to help this to happen and ensure that it is known that there are purchasers who want to proceed with their purchase and have not given up.

Dear Editor,

Re: Letter from Anthony Malpass, May 26

We also have the dream that our house (Azucena) will be built by San José builders at Santa Ana del Monte Golf near Jumilla and have signed up with our solicitors to fight for us at a cost of 2,300 euros.

We first came out in 2005 and signed up for an off-plan house and put down a deposit to secure the price, once back home we had to take out a loan for the rest of the main deposit.

According to our paperwork our property should have been ready in May 2007. We even came out in September 2006 and were taken by our agents to choose and order our tiles for floor and bathroom and kitchen and then the furniture/white goods/kitchen and household items, on which we had to put a deposit.

Because of the delay, having sold our house, we sent out 20 boxes to be stored and then stayed with various family members living out of a suitcase, which became very stressful for us pensioners. So we informed our agents and moved out to Spain October 2007 and have been able to long-term rent whilst waiting.

On talking to others our main complaint is lack of honesty from any of the three agents involved, ie builders, agents and solicitors.

We are prepared to hang on for as long as possible for our dream, but if it fails we will have to take out a loan to buy something in this area where we have made some friends.

Obviously we do not want any comeback, so please withhold our names.

We are working to get best coverage and are being carefull with these dealings as we posted origionally about legal fees and quotes from Professor of law at Alicanti University this information was curtesy of the local press.
if you want to join then feel free to. We want the project to be completed in its fullest form not just buildings but also the infrastructure tha make a community. But if thats not the case we will want our deposits back. I would rather have my house next year than wait 2 years or more for my money back.

Hi Julie Anne,
Nice to see you have not lost your sence of humour. But does not change the fact that they have been printed in local press in three papers and from three different people this week and on line already

Julie anne,
We stated on our website and here that leters were freely available to send and people have availed thmselves of that offer. While others talk SARC has actually been working and for those who want to try and get their properties built with full infrastructure. These are just the first rounds fired others are following. Why are you upset about something that is to do with a developement that you do not have an interest in as you are at El Pinnet. As I have said before we are not the ones to be angry with and you have a Bank Gaurentee we have even offer you help to get a reasonabley priced lawyer. Others are not so lucky but they would rather see the project at SADM completed so they could have their dream is that a bad goal? If it can not be completed then SARC will go for the money but the first Goal is to get our homes.
best wishes

You are mistaken I am also a purchaser at SADM through misfortune rather than choice.

Expropriations block golf resort

By Nuria Pérez
THE SANTA Ana del Monte golf resort which Grupo San José is set to build in Jumilla has been temporarily halted, the town hall explained this week.

According to the local authority the delay has been caused because expropriated land has not been paid for by the board of compensation which is managed by Grupo San José chief, José Rodríguez Murcía.

Only the first 2,286 properties of the ‘plan parcial’ scheme were approved by the town hall in a full council meeting in 2006.

Most of the land – four million square metres – is owned by the company.

However they face a bill of nearly 4.5 million euros for another 200,000 square metres of land and other smaller plots which they do not own.

A council spokeswoman explained: “Once the land has been paid for, the remaining administrative procedures will be carried out.

“A deposit to guarantee the building works are finished will be made by the company and then the building licences will be issued.”

According to a licence issued by the town hall in April 2007 the company is only allowed to move earth and to build the foundations of 572 properties located in the RMD-4 area of the scheme.

The company is not allowed to build any property currently as no further licences have been issued.

Grupo San José hit the headlines in May when two of its companies – San José Inversiones and Herrada del Tollo – applied to the courts for voluntary suspension of payments (‘concurso de acreedores’).

Three administrators have been appointed by a judge for each company.

According to Antonio Navarro, president of promoters’ association Procosta, Grupo San José is negotiating with several credit institutions in order to carry on with the Santa Ana del Monte scheme.

He said: “The viability of the company depends partly on this scheme.”

CB News has asked Grupo San José to comment on the situation but no reply was received before going to press.

IU-Los Verdes councillor in Jumilla José Antonio Pérez said: “The company presented a massive scheme even though it did not own all the land.”

This was printed yesterday and clearly shows that in this case the company had done things right the light at the end of the tunnel is still alight and just might be a bit brighter. as well as the article there were two letters also printed
