This is the first time i have made a blog. I just wanted to know if there was anyone out there that is going down the route of Act 57/68 through solicitors, against the insurance company that should have had our deposits insured!!!!!

This is my first blog.    I would just like to know if there is anyone out there that, like me, gave a huge deposit to Herrada del toll and has decided to go down the route of suing against the insurance company who should have had our deposits insured (Act 57/68)?

I think i have posted this in the right place? lol

Hi Diane

Are you in Santa Ana? I'm currently talking to some lawyers who have sued the developer and have won. They posted this some time ago:

I still haven't made up my mind, would like to know what others are doing before going down this route.

Hi Diane,

Welcome to the forum, if your involved with the demise of Herrada Del Tollo \ San Jose, have a look at the community forum , where we have many threads running. I have copied a link below which wil take you to one of the community popular current threads. Where hopefully you can get answers to your questions.

For my wife & me we have joined a class action using GM Legal based in Alicante to pursue the banks \ global guarantors under the law 57/68 point 1.2.

I hope this helps

Regards

Nigel

Yes Adam we are with Santa Anna. We too have spoken to Lawbirds regarding suing insurance companies. Also just spoke to solicitor we are using in Manchester who says this could be a long (years) process and very costly as the banks and insurance companies will fight to the end. So still undecided.
Thanks Nigel for the link. Can I ask what the cost are Nigel.? I am not sure if it is the same company i looked at, but if it is the costs seemed very high.
Thank you

Hi Diane

We looked into taking action but were put off by the fact that it could take years, plus the possible costs especially if we didn't win the case!

Good luck though whatever you decide to do.
