       In Armintza (Vizcaya - Spain) has been developed a new marine energy project.It is the first time that it is developed in the world and it consits of useing ocean waves to generate electricity for consumption in cities.

     The Energy Agency of the Basque Government (EVE) and The Institute for Energy Diversification and Savin (IDAE) have agreed to the creation of a new Public Company will be the owner of the infrastructure for research on marine energy to be located in Armintza.

     With this degree of development could reach 2000 GWh each year and it means that it could supply 10% of its electric consumption.

     I am going to show you some pictures about the placement of the parts for the equipment that generate marine energy:

     I hope that this project can help to the Spanish Economy and also to the European one.
