Galgos del Sol (Murcia) makes saving galgos in Spain a reality!

There is an ABSOLUTE NEED to highlight the plight of galgos (greyhounds) in Spain. This blog is to help the refuge, Galgos Del Sol in Murcia, Costa Blanca. http://www.perrosdelsol.es/ or http://www.galgosdelsol.es/ (Both link to same site)

Tina to the rescue again: Marlene & Brandon, two abandoned galgos found by a motorway, read the story! :-)
10 April 2011 @ 12:55

Tina was driving home a couple of days ago when she spotted two galgos running down the bank beside the motorway by Los Alcazares, Murcia, Costa Blanca. They had a fence one side of them and the motorway the other.

Tina pulled over and then climbed under the fence into a muddy river. These dogs have obviously found each other and have become good friends while living rough. They are both very friendly &, apart from the usual ticks and fleas, they have no severe injuries, just exhausted and hungry.

Luckily Tina's daughter, she's only 8 or 9 (GREAT PHOTOS), was on hand and took some photos from the car of the rescue and then there are a few taken at the vets.
