I have a case which has been won and awaiting on the funds to be released from the court as the solicitors stated that he is awaiting power of attorney from other clients who I am not connected to who also had their case awarded on the same day before any funds will be released by the courts. He also advised that he will be deducting 30% of the claim for legal fees.

Can you advise if this is normal practice and a fee of 30% is the standard deduction applied?

Thanks for your advice.
