We have used HIFX for the last couple of transfers. Once you have registered with them they will quote a rate and also accept a Euro cheque.  No charges incurred from our Spanish bank, but I guess the quoted rate includes any charges.

They are worth a call.

Hi all

Has anyone completed within this last few months?

Our last visit to the site was in October last year, and blocks 13 and 14 were not complete and have not been worked on for several months, the pool behind block 8 looked kindof finished, but half full of green water.

Our contracted price to complete is considerably more than the mortgage that Rushcliffe have on the apartment, therefore the bank/builder will not release the apartment.

We have been informed that the bank is now reposessing the apartments as Rushcliffe have defaulted on their mortgage payments, and all deposits will be lost.

Our lawyer has indicated that Rushcliffe have no money so court action would be most likely a waste of time as even if we win  they cannot pay and are in debt for several million Euros and the bank will not allow Rushcliffe any more funding.

Has anyone actually managed to retrieve their deposits ?  Any positive news would help us to decide on any possible options.
