We purchased through Atlas International - worst mistake of our lives! We are having to take legal action to try and recover our 51,000 Euro's.

Dear All,

We are also taking legal action to try and recover our deposit in connection with the Fortuna Hills development in Murcia  Our developer Eurohouse 2010 have gone into administration and our lawyer believes our best course of action is against the bank to try and recover our deposit 51,000 Euro's.

We purchased through Atlas International who promised on a number of ocassions that they would also guarentee our funds.  However, this promise has also proved to be worthless and they have gone back on their word.

Is it worth contacting Tony Hetherinton to see if he can run a follow up story based on the data that you have compiled?

Hi

Although we have started legal action through CostaLuz lawyers, we have also tried to highlight our story in the press both in Spain and the UK . 

We were really pleased recently that the Mail On Sunday covered our story.  You can view Tony Hetherington's column if you search Mail On Sunday Atlas International 'definitely maybe' guarentee. There has also been interest from other UK newspapers who have contacted us to follow up the story.

We have also written to english language spanish newspapers in the hope that we are gain some interest from them.

By writing to various parties it helps us to vent our frustration at the situation we (like many others) find ourselves in.  Our purchase was never about an investment, it was to be a home in the sun that family and friends could enjoy with us in the years ahead. Like many others we thought that we did everything to safe guard our life savings.

You may wish to search for Tony Hetherington's article which was published in the Mail On Sunday 1st August entitled

Spanish 'definitely maybe' guarentee

This relates to our dealings with Atlas International. We are trying to get as much focus on this company as we can to warn others to think very carefully before committing with them.

We thought that we had done everything we could do to safeguard our monies through Atlas International but despite their written promises and guarentees we are having to take legal action to try to recoup our stage payments. 

Buyer beware !
