Hi everyone, we have just found out that our legal advisors (Aldea) have gone into liquidation.  We have an outstanding annual tax bill to pay which would normally be paid through them. Can anyone tell us if we can pay this tax bill directly to the Spanish tax office without employing another solicitor and where can we pay it.

We have read the thread on the general forum but everybody seems to be disagreeing with each other.

Is anybody else in the same boat as they acted for most people buying through Parador and I know by chatting to people on the development that a fair few also bought through them.

Aldea also have our deeds which we need to get back somehow. Parador say that they will retrieve them at a cost of 120 euros but we don't fancy handing over any more of our money to them thankyou very much.

Hi

Can anyone tell us how we can go about paying our tax bill as we were just about to send it to Aldea when we got the 'e-mail'.  Do we need to appoint another legal advisor or is there somewhere we can pay it ourselves.

Also have any of you had the e-mail from Parador "wanting to help".  I don't know about you but I wouldn't rely on their help. They're probably tied up in this scam as well.

Hi everyone, we have also received the e-mail from Aldea who have the deeds for our property at the moment. I would welcome any ideas as to how we get hold of those deeds and whether we can bring them back to the uk. Also we haven't yet paid our tax bill for this year (perhaps something was telling us to hang on to our money) and would like some advice from anybody as to how we pay that bill and who to now that Aldea are no more.

Thanks for that Kevin & Corinne. We'll have to wait and see what the situation is when we come over in August. Just out of interest though do you know if you can you buy freeview boxes in Spain that can hopefully receive a few English channels?

Hi Everyone

Have been reading this discussion with interest and are wondering can you get either the 30 or 8 channels just by re - tuning your TV and are the channels a mixture of differant languages ie Spanish and English or are they all in Spanish. At the moment we pay the 20 euros a month but would dearly love to stop that as we aren't out enough to justify the expense.

Some of you have mentioned freeview boxes. Were they brought over from the UK or bought in Spain. Would love to hear any info. you have.
