I said as much  in my post today. They are no longer in the UK but operating only in Spain.

 

Would have preferred them to be out of business by now - but I can wait!

I have to admit I got excited by what I read!  I followed the link, and it as you will be aware says Atlas Internation are in liquidation.

I then went to their website and rang Call us 0800 261 6770 and was then automatically transferred to a number which was obviously not in the UK.

A woman answered (English) and I asked if it was Atlas International and she said yes.  I asked if they were still selling properties, as I had seen on a website they are in liquidation.  She said they are still selling, but have relocated their business to La Zenia in Spain. I have seen the shop when over on holiday as I am sure many on this forum have.

She asked if she could help me and I said " no thanks you have already stitched me up once and you are not doing it again".  I then put the phone down which gave me a degree of satisfaction!

Unfortunately it is not as good a news story as I/we had hoped, but they have obviously got out of the UK as things were too hot and their reputation was shot.

Hi Kerric

I am sorry to read people are still going through this nightmare.  We and 5 other property owners in our area moved away from Arocca and had someone in Torreijveca fight our cause along with a solicitor and barrister.  It was very daunting in court especially not being able to understand what was going on but our representative and barrister did what was necessary and the court signed off our deeds.  There was an embargo on our property due to the money TU owed to the Spanish Tax people but that was also sorted.

We were fortunate to sell the property just over 4 years ago - our dream was tainted.  We lost count of the money we spent but I was not prepared to let TU have me over twice.  The corruption is so deep seated it beggars belief !!

We do still visit the villa for holidays as it was sold to a family member.- in fact we are due there in September.  Would we ever buy in Spain again - NEVER!

I hope justice will prevail for all those still caught up in this mess.

I am very pleased to read that some of you are at long last getting a conclusion to what I know is a total nightmare! 

We are now 3 years down the line and although the courts were scary I never regret going down that route. 

My only wish was that those responsible would have got their just deserts  but I/we have to be grateful for a successful outcome albeit for some (although they all should have hung, drawn and quartered the lot of them   !!).
