Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I am planning to go somewhere southish, avoiding the tourist towns so I can practice my rusty spanish again while going somewhere warm. Does anyone have any recommendations on areas/rentals? I am looking for cheapish furnished with the only major necessity being a functioning broadband connection. Are there any good english/spanish language websites covering this?

We are looking to rent a property in the south of Spain for 3 months starting 1^st February 2010 running through to the 31^st April 2010. We run a small internet based business and require a decent ADSL connection, and ideally would have at least two bedrooms (could survive with a large 1 bed). Apart from this, we are pretty flexible and ideally would find a place in a more traditional Spanish town away from the tourist areas, maybe within ½ hour of the sea.

I am moving to Spain in February and have just encountered this great forum, and just had to sign up. My name is Stuart and I am a 28 year old IT Consultant moving to Spain to escape the winter (I am living in Denmark now so it is even worse in the winter!) and get my cost of living down while I work full time on my internet business.
