Hi.  Thanks for the replies.  I have heard that it is possible to apply for the designation to be changed from "mixta" to "turismo" and then the terms and conditions for cars would apply.  Anyone know anything about this?

In addition, if the vehicle is classified as mixta (therefore a van) then this could have implications for speed limits etc.

I am in the UK at the moment and my car needed a ITV.  My friend took it for the test. The car is 10 years old. He was told that because of the age of the vehicle it would need to be tested twice a year. I know that vans and commercial vehicles over 10 years have to be tested 6 monthly but I did not realise that a Berlingo car was classified as a van. Is this a mistake or is it correct. Can anyone clarify the position for me?

Thanks for your help.

I am using too many extension leads and need to think about installing some extra sockets.  As the cables seem to be in buried flexible trucking, how difficult is this to do?  I want a neat finish and don't really want external trunking fixed to the wall. Any idea what the going rate is for additional sockets?

I need to replace a number of broken exterior floor tiles but am having difficulty in finding the right ones.  The size I need is 30cm X 30cm and the colour is medium brown.  I live half way between San Javier and Murcia.  Does anyone know of any large tile suppliers in this area?

Thanks

Thread: Ceramic Exterior Floor Tiles

I have just been away from my house for about 6 weeks to find a return to mould spots on some of the walls and efforvesence salts on much of the floor tile grout. I have installed some air vents and left some windows open to prevent this sort of thing but obviously it did not work.

I intend to get some bleach to wash the mould off the walls but I am not quite sure what I should be looking for in the shop.  Google translate is not much use as it just comes up with Spanish words for whitening. Can anyone advise please.

Unfortunately I am not sure what to do about the efforvesence salts on the tile grout in terms of cleaning it off and secondly preventing or delaying its return.  The efforvesence is just on the interior tiles and not on the exterior.

All advice gratefully received.
