I used to live just outside Oliva,on ubanization Bassettes.The water was mains there but I never used it for drinking,always used bottle water.I did use it for brushing teeth and had no problems.

A friend at the time lived in the campo and had well water,but only used it for toilet,washing etc,they also bought bottled water for drinking.

There's much to dwell on,your mind is probably doing backflips.

Well I decided not to go back to Spain,[buy].I now live in Bulgaria,that was 6+ years ago,and you talk about laid back,horizontal doesn't come near.Needless to say,my other half and I,+6 dogs live the laid back lifestyle,plus the added bonus for us,is that you have the traditional four seasons,not just the baking hot summer for most of the year.

Cheap to live,you bet.

Good luck anyway with what ever you decide,by the way I lived up in Oliva for 3 years,and enjoyed it,but that was before all the crash and turmoil which has happened since..

 Hi Woodbug,I do appreciate what you say about water getting behind,but I like to think that I do things correctly,and not like the spanish,or Bulgarians,.

I've had no sign of damp up to now,but I understand where you are coming from.

Could you tell me what the massive problems I have created for myself by putting insulation on my outside walls,thats in layman terms,as I'm at the moment sitting inside,comfortably cool whilst it is 35c outside.
