A quick read through leads me to worry about this.....  The rent of the sublease may not exceed, in any case the rent which corresponds to the lease.

It would seem that this would make the whole plan pointless!

I'm thinking of taking on a long term rental and letting it out for holiday lets.

Obviously the owners would need to be in agreement and it would need to be written into a contract. However an estate agent has told me it is only possible to do this if I take a "Guarantee Contract" which means I would have to pay for the whole 11 months up front.

Can anyone advise if this information is correct?

I have an apartment that I am going to rent out for holiday lets. I understand that I need to declare 25% tax on the rental income. Are there any allowances that can be offset against this?
