Sunday, September 14, 2008:

hello all,

We are on the lookout for a man with a big van who can transport a 5 seater hot tub/jacuzzi from villamartin to Quesada.  We need the job done this week, asap.  The hot tub measures approx 6.5 ft squared and 3 ft deep, so a regular transit won't do.  Hubby tells me it must be a luton van or bigger??  If you, or someone you know can do this (obviously we'll pay!!) please pm me with details of how I can contact, or if there's anyone you can recommend.
P.S, this item is quite heavy, will need a bit of oomph to lift it, or roller/wheel things to go underneath.

Fingers crossed and here's hoping!

Cheers :)

Hiya, I've just sent you a PM!

We're in Spain now, but have only just got our internet connected which is why my PM has taken a while to get to you since you sent me one.

Anyway, you've probably read it by now, but if you haven't, me and hubby would still love to meet up, and I know Toby will love meeting the twins so he can finally have a playmate - two in fact!

I've sent you our new number in the PM, so either message me or give us a call, and we'll arrange to meet up!

Chat to you soon :)

Thanks everyone for your help, I think I'll get in touch with our neighbours to make sure they don't mind us putting dish up.  I don't really like the idea of having some huge dish on the house anyway. I'm finding the whole TV thing and all the options available rather confusing, and want to go with an option of no monthly fee's as we're not expecting to find work straight away so need to keep our outgoings down.  We wanted the TV sorted asap, but may have to sacrifice a few weeks worth of eastenders to get the most suitable system.  I'm not the most technically-minded person, and neither is hubby

Hiya, thanks for those, we'll be getting a few quotes in over the first few days, a bit of healthy competition between the trademen out there so will def check them out.

I do know about the algorfa forum, but I keep forgetting about it when I come to ask these questions.  Being a creature of habit, I always end up in the place I found first (which was this forum). Hoping to break the habit by moving to spain!

thanks, we have recently discovered though that we are not part of a community (although we were informed we were when we initially purchased the house by our agents) It annoyed me at first as it means we don't have access to the communal pool, but I am now happy that a) no community fee's and b) no permission seeking!  So as far as I'm aware we are able to install a dish if we want. I'm discovering not to assume anything in Spain, we're coming across red tape of some form in whatever we do
