Hi

I wondered if anyone could let me know the situation regarding insurance for motor bikes as well as insurance for cars.

We both currently have full no claims insurance for our cars and also full no claims insurance for our motorbikes.

Could you please let me know on moving to Spain whether our full no claims will be taken into account with the insurance companies.

Thank you.

Hi Floella

I totally agree, we will be thoroughly investigating areas, via internet and visits. We will not be purchasng for a year or 2 and during this time we hope with all your help to narrow down the areas for our investgations.

It would be just as helpful to be told of areas to avoid (if there are any ) as well as the great ones.

It is really great to hear from people who recommend locations and even better when they let me know of reputable estate agents in that area.

Thank you to everyone so far.

Hi

Thank you all so, so much, this is exactly the information I was hoping to receive from the forum.

I will have a look at all these areas and the agents recommended.

Once we have a reasonable idea of where in Andalucia looks good for us, we can come over to have more of a personal look.

Thank you again.

Hi

I would like to thank everyone for the replies.

I take on board all of your points.  Obviously you live in Spain and have the knowledge and experience that I don't.

I have to admitt I did not realise that it would be impossible for me to purchase a property with similar qualities as Exmoor in Spain (remote /privacey).

That said, with your understanding of our preferences for a quiet life ( and lets say with few neighbours and not so remote, but lets say not actually in a town or village ) where in Andalucia would you recommend and why.

Please do not hold me to what I say I require, what I am trying to do is give you a picture of our preferences.  If you feel I am being too nieve then it would be good to hear so and why, but what I am really trying to obtain is the locations you would recommend to live in.

I only give you an insight into what we like so that, people can understand our preferences and I don't recommend very busy locations which would not be for us.

Many Thanks

Hi Johnzx

Thank you for your quick response, I do not know if you are always that abrupt or just rude.

"After all, if there is no one living there it's a bit difficult to find someone who would say it's a highly recommended area to live."

We like to live in remote locations and prefer for no neighbous to be in sight.  That does not mean that there will not be others living in the area.  Exmoor in the UK is a beautiful place to live and you can live without a neighbour in sight.  That said there are enough people who can highly recommend it.

I am aware of google earth thank you very much, but I can not enter into any genuine conversations with google earth or gain a personal opinion with previous experience.

I would appreciate positive helpful posts from others, it is easy to type unhelpful critial posts.....but what is the point.

Thank you
