Hi,
I am looking for a bilingual English teacher to give a class to some friends of mine in Granada which I cannot take on at the moment. The class would take place in their home which is quite near the train station. The pupils are two brothers aged around 15-16. I have been giving them classes for two years and it is fairly easy. They just need help with homework and if there is time leftover I normally prepare some exercises based on their school books to try and get the vocabulary/structures etc into their heads!! Their teacher is a big fan of translations, which is why they need someone fluent in Spanish. Most of the time their homework is translating texts from their book into Spanish or phrases given to them in Spanish into English. They would like the classes to be on a Monday and Wednesday from 4.30-5.30 and pay 12euros per hour. If anyone is interested please get back to me asap as the school year has already started and I'm sure they are already stuggling!!!

Many thanks,
Gemma

Hi,
I´ve recently set up a website offering property management services amongst others. It was aimed at individual property owners and my thoughts were that I only needed a few clients to keep me going. I have now been approached by an estate agency to be the property manager for an urbanisation of 180 properties, where some owners are reselling, some are renting them out long term and some are letting them out for holidays. They´ve asked me to come up with a proposal and prices to see if we can come to an agreement. Now, suddenly my "little" business idea seems a bit scary!! I will obviously need to draw up contracts etc, and have already worked out 3 different types of package to cover most needs. My question is, I was thinking of becoming "autonomo" but now am not sure whether this is the best idea. Would it be better to set the company up as an SL? Can anyone help me? What are the procedures, costs etc? I think this is a great opportunity and I don´t want to let it pass by! I hope you will be able to advise me!!!!
thanks

Hi Grumps,
If you like Granada but are a bit unsure as it is further inland, you could consider the "Valle de Lecrín" area. Within this area there are many small "typical" Spanish villages, but also quite a few English people living. The biggest village here is Dúrcal, where you can find everything you will need from doctors to a regular bus service. The other smaller villages are lovely, but have less facilities. The area is about 20 minutes drive from Granada city and half an hour from the coast, so you can make the best of both worlds. There is some spectacular scenery in this area, and the climate isn´t quite as harsh as in Granada. It is still very hot in the summer and cold in the winter but a couple of degrees difference from Granada city is noticeable. It is a great area, which hasn´t been spoilt by an "invasion" of tourists as yet!!

Should you need any help at all when you decide on the move, I will be able to help you, from searching for a property to accompanying you through the whole process.

I´m sure your husbands IT skills will come in very handy, and its something people always need. My computer needs to go to the "doctors" at least once or twice a year!! In the Lecrin Valley area, there are, as I´ve said, a good number of expats living, which could be a good place to get started.

Anyway, good luck with everything, and I´m here to help if you need anything!
