Good for you. 

Check out Sur in English.  I went to post the link but it does not allow me to do so.  So google Sur in English, go to the classifieds section and you will see it says recruitment and then situations vacant / situations wanted.

This is an English speaking newspaper available along the Costa del Sol.  They will start posting adverts for summer in the coming months so worth checking on a regular basis. 

It is a fabulous place to live and work but of course it is pretty hard going in summer.  Long hours with little time to enjoy the sunshine.

One piece of advice I would like to share is that you really should do your research, do not send money to anyone to look for work for you and make sure you have somewhere to stay.

We have banked with Sol Bank for 6 years and are very happy with their service.  They are professional and extremely helpful and indeed we have recommended their services to many of our property management customers.

For your security, they set a weekly and monthly limit on your account.  It is highly probable that the limit had been achieved and therefore the individuals were advised to return the following week at the start of the new monthly period.  This limit can easily be increased by going to your branch and asking for this to be changed.

It saddens me that many people are so negative about Spanish companies and services, thinking that everyone is scamming or doing something underhand.  If the individuals asked the bank why they would have been told about this and they would have fellt at ease.  This has happened to me and I simply increased my limits.  The title of this thread should be changed as it is misleading and could cause all sorts of issues.

We bought our place here over 7 years ago - we got lucky as we did actually let our hearts rule our heads.......  Definitely sound advice.  Come over, take a drive around and when you see somewhere you like, come back again to test the waters.  There are many people who will be pushing properties, bargains etc but it is important to consider your wish list which may well change when you get here. 

We love it and as I said, we got lucky and would not change living here for the world.  We live a 10 min drive from Puerto Banus and 2.5 hours to Granada.  Went ski-ing December for weekend and in February for a day (ok bit challenging in a day but fabulous).  It is as close to heaven as it gets..........

Perhaps I am missing something. But surely if an insured property damages another insured property ONE of the insurers must pay.  Whilst getting a lawyer on the case is one thing, I am not clear as to what my next actions should be.  Would really be interested to learn if someone has experience in this area ie is there an Insurance Ombudsman who can assist. 

Appreciate insurance companies took a bit of a hammering following floods but I have paid all my premiums and I still don´t ´get´ that damage can be caused by someone else and I have to pay - please help!!!!
