I am in the process of selling my apartment in Torrequebrada (at a loss) and i am due back approx 3900 euro, capitol gains, my lawyer is quoting 600 euro to reclaim this for me, i think this is very expensive any comments? she also informs me that although i paid non residents tax Dec11 i will have to pay agin this year, plus as i was owner of apartment on 31`st Jan 12 i will again have to pay this years council tax 615e and rubbish bill, seem all very expensive and unfair, any one with similar experience

Hi can anyone help read in the costa del sol news that wealth tax was abolished however, my solicitor has asked me for 1102 euro broken down as 520 wealth tax, 382 income tax and 200e lawyers fees, i only purchased november 2006 and paid 796e then, i now have in top of this been asked to pay 1185 euro for council tax a shock 2537 to pay before the end of year and this doesn,t take in my community, electric and water fees, can anyone help advise,

Hi just completed at Dona Maria torrequebrada, my lawyer informs me Spanish Law only covers for the sq meters and not the actual property value , in my case 2 bed apartment  they will onlyu insure for 77000 euros althought value is 280000 euro, seems very risky if there was a fire etc, does anyone know if this info is correct, thanks Carly
