We are driving to Mijas next April via Portsmouth/Bilbao ferry and wanted to know if anyone can recommend pet friendly accommodation midway, say between Madrid and Cordoba.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated as this the first time we have done this.

Thanks to all who have made suggestions, we will certainly have a look at the areas mentioned (apart from Benidorm -- sorry windtalker, been there and done that) and hopefully find somewhere that suits.

Hello

We are visiting southern Costa Blance shortly to see if we can find an area we could spend the winter months (long term rental) but need to know the best places to look as we don't want to find ourselves in a ghost town.

Any advice on which areas remain active with plenty going on during the winter months will be greatly appreciated. We are both of early retirement age although still working (both self employed) and reasonably active and just want to find a winter spot to enjoy life and relax and possibly buy a property in the future.
