A lot has been said about the pros and cons of a new hotel. I have always said that it will not worry me too much if its built or not as I don't think it will effect me in any way. Now there are different opinions about the quality of food and standard of service from the club house maybe a hotel would be just what the resort needs. It does seem that as soon as the club house is busy the standards drop as they struggle to cope. A hotel restaurant will provide a bit of competition and an alternitive place to go on the resort.

I personally like the club house and very much enjoy a nice glass of San Miguel, and a chat to other owners or visitors in the the bar. The last time we were there in June we were  entertained by some brit demanding the complants book, did anyone else see that as there were quite a few in the bar at the time. However they did not have one. The time before that in May we took two friends with us and were given a free plate of ham as a sorry because they took over an hour and a half between courses.

It must be said that although I have had the odd poor meal or bad service I have also had some great meals and times. I took my whole family last January and had a great meal and time and everybody loved it. I will be visiting the club again soon and enjoying all they have on offer.

Maybe LP is right as I think the best meal I have had was at Pearls Plaice the best fish and chips I've had for years. Just don't knock it until you tried it.

Hi All

Just had some friends back that stayed at our place on phase 3 for the first time but found the clubhouse not to there liking. They told me that the service was poor and the food not much better. My friends wife had her dinner dropped on her lap. That did'nt help much. They only went the once preferring to stay at home or in town.

Sorry for beiing negative but maybe the Brits and Irish are getting overlooked as it now getting busy.

Thanks for your help.

It seems that the oil has done the trick and it was caused by the handle on the inside not returning to the horizontal.

Thats what customer service has told me and I am happy to leave it like that unless it happens again.

Just one other thing ... why does customer service have a spare key to our apartments?

Cheers

Jon

19 May 2009 12:00 AM:

Hi All

I don't  want to put my problems onto you all but would like to know if anyone else has had problems with their front door.

Our door, once shut will not open again in the normal way, not everytime mind. I reported it last September 2008 when we completed and its item 1 on our snag list. Its now happened 4 or 5 times, once to guest we had staying, a few times to us and now to our cleaning agents. Our agents asked Customer Service for assistance but they were unhelpful and rude, about as much help as a bail of hay in a fire.

I have now e-mailed them 4 or 5 times over the last few months demanding action but they seem reluctant to do anything.

Should I now see a solicitor or should I get it repaired myself and try to claim it back from Roda.

I now have to go over in June to sort it out as I have guest staying and don't want them locked out.

It seems whenever I call on Roda Customer Service for assistance I am fobbed off or even lied to just to get rid of me.

Jon
