Hi,
Does anyone know of a reliable builder who can do a kitchen and bathroom renovation and some other general building who covers these areas, we're in the process of buying a house here which needs some modernisation but we have struggled to find builders who will do this (with us being in the uk at present. doesn't help much though!)

Thanks chris for your advice, after looking at all options for economical heating in Spain, we think the best is a woodburning boiler with either a solar water heater/ or an electric immersion heater

That's a great reply and very helpful to us, we originally were going to go down the LPG route, but this has ruled it out for us now !
Not sure if there is mains gas or not, have you any idea as to whether the price of mains gas is similar to that in the uk or not?

Have you ever come across air source pumps ?
If you have, is there an outlet in this area that sell them?
They are around £5000 in the uk, so we aware that they are quite expensive to purchase initially but provide an efficient way of heating a home.

In your opinion, which is the best cost effective way to heat a house over in Spain?
My partner is a central heating engineer in the uk and we're looking at all possibilities, what are your thoughts on this subject?
I've started another thread earlier about whether there is any mains gas in the villamartin/ Los dolses area as that would make things a bit easier!
