Hi

We had a phone call from MRI at the weekend.  Admittedly, it was about another matter but whilst we had someone on the phone we had a chat about ACC.  They are 100% sure that building work will start again in May and that we should sit tight.   I dont know how or why they are 100% sure but if you can hold on it will be  well be worth all this hassle.   If we pulled out now, what would we get for our money?  We're going to sit tight for another six months.

Hi Les, we decided to visit the site last May too.  We were on holiday in Mojacar and thought we'd drive up there and have a look around.    There were a couple of guys mowing the grass and that was about it.  We called in to MRI (who we are buying through) who had no news except that work was going to start again In September.  Our place should have been ready this month and we expected some "manana, manana" but this is ridiculous.  It's hard to know how long to wait before asking for our money back (which doesnt seem to be easy either).   Something has got to happen soon, surely and May isn't really that far away.  If we do get any info in the meantime, we will post it here straight away and we're sure other ACC buyers will do the same!   Just keep your fingers crossed!!!

Must have been the second half of October because we visited the site on 13 and 14 October 2005 and they were very busy building then!

Hi Tricky

I had no response to lots of emails I had sent so I contacted their sales department via email and had a moan.   The next day I had a response from the after sales manager, Nina Turnbull who said that all the email addresses had been changed some months before.  She said that she assumed the IT department had arranged for emails to the old addresses to be forwarded to the new ones.   Of course, they werent!!

I hope you have had chance to read the latest I received today (new thread) which is interesting reading.  Looks like its going to be another year before we get the keys.  A lot of staff have left the company but according to their TV channel on sky, they are committed to their clients and their staff.   I hope you get some news soon, youve paid alot of money out already.   Its just so frustrating, we knew things wouldnt go without a hitch but this is crazy. Its a good job that we're not in any great rush for the villa.

Hopefully, we can all get together soon at ACC.
