Hi everyone... sorry to bother but some time has passed and my persianas/blinds are a bit rusty... u know they don't go up and/or down all the way. Has anyone had this problem? Do you happen to know who the hell would fix this? Is there any company in the vicinity dedicated to this?

Thx in advance. Jesus.

Hi Everybody,

I was alerted by Tex that my name was on the BOJA which is the Andalusian community official government bulletin for some owed tax.

I have called them this morning and found out it is related to the revision of the legal document tax that we paid when we bought the flats. Apparently you pay an amount and a couple of years later the fiscal authorities check that it was the right amount and now they say it was not. So I have to pay 330 euros more. In normal cases (i e if you live in Spain) you can oppose and start arguing with them but I am in no position so will pay up :).

The problem comes when they can not notify you of this because the letters didn't get to you or lived elsewhere.

If any of you wants to check their number is 956 781033 or check BOJA 174 del 6 de septiembre 2010 on:

http://www.juntadeandalucia.es/boja/boletines/2010/174/d/updf/boletin.174.pdf

My name is on page 72 so you may find yours too.

Apparently this is only the first stages... but it left unpaid they may away whatever you own to pay for this debt.

The problem seems to be that you have to go in person or authorise someone to go to get the form and pay it in the bank.

if I can be of any help: jesus.marin@language.proz.com

Hi Ian,

I understand you anger, I feel that too. I have had my apartment let out for the whole summer which was good but I advertised it with swimming pool and have had to apologies and compensate the people who have stayed there. Last Saturday there was a meeting and nothing changed, they will not open the swimming pool until they get some paperwork sorted.

On the other hand I run a estate agency in Jimena which you are welcome to visit, it is in the Camara de Comercio building, next to the Parque de Bomberos (firestation) and it is called Obensis International. I have had lots of owners offering me their flat in Arenal for sale at lower prices that they paid but nothing is selling. I have also lost lots of holiday makers because after my apartment was fully booked I tried to offer others but the prices were too high. I have told around 30 families sorry we don't have an apartment for you because of this problem, so you guys need to be conscious of the prices.... I have let it most to Spanish people whose budget was 300/350 euros per week..... better than nothing.

But yes, in general this complex has got a curse :). By the way if you stop paying the community fee they will sue you.

Regards.

Jesus (956 641 396)

Hi guys,

Sorry to bother you but I am most unhappy with the way things are going in Jimena. I understand the swimming pool is only opening in the afternoon like last year and I have rented my appartment all the summer and have been having to apologise and compensate people for no fault of my own. People go away to the beach because they can not use the swimming pool and they stay there the whole day and I find it unfair.

I am unable to do anything myself because I live in London. I know it is hard work and the current chairwoman and subchair are doing all the can, I guess. However if anyone feels at some point they would like to nominate themselves for one of these roles please do let me know since I'd like to vote for someone who is eager to change things. I feel the "comunidad" is not being run to its full potential, obviously the swimming pool is just a sympton.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards.
