When do I have to pay property taxes

Hi there,   I am thinking of buying a partially completed villa in Estepona area and I was wondering if the property taxes are due on an unfinished building.

I understand that the wealth tax is being abolished but the IBI seems to have been increased

Is the tax that is described as a notional renal income tax  due on a partially built villa  ?

would I have to pay the IBI or is that only due after a certificate of habitation is granted?

When is the valor catastral calculated  ?

i have so many questions , can anyone clarify the situation

Property taxes are applicable on an unfinished building although only the plot will be taxed if the building has not been registered with the Town Hall.

The IBI in Estepona has shot up and people there are not happy!

You should not be paying notional rental tax on a partially built villa as it is not susceptible of being taxed for ´imputacion de rentas´.

Once you register the plot they will give you a valor catastral.

Careful in Estepona, it is like a second Marbella and you need to double check the legalities.

there is an unfinished building on the plot  and if the plot is already registed by the existing owners am i right to assume that  it  has a vlor catastral?

does this value transfer to the new owner or is it based on the new purchase price

how can you find out the  valor catstral of a plot?
