Anyone Living Around Benahavis or in Los Arqueros, La Quinta etc Resorts ??

Hi Guys,

Keen to receive first hand feedback re the following:

1) Whats it like living there all year round & particularly in winter does it become somewhat isolated/deserted ??

2) Are the resorts well built, competently run & vibrant  ???

3) Are their good walking trails which can be accessed directly from say Los Arqueros & La Quinta ?

4) What are facilities (eg shopping) like in the area & are the local roads ok ??

5) Any other pros & cons re living in that region ?

In terms of background, we plan to settle in Spain late 2012. Have already made a few short investigative trips & may well rent prior to buying. We enjoy good walking trails plus mountain scenary but do not wish to be too isolated. We would also prefer to live in a resort complex with good on site facilities.

Any feedback re above would be greatly appreciated, including of couse other suggested locations around Costa del Sol that might better meet our requirements - completely open-minded at this juncture !  Many thanks.

A little surprised no one appears to live in Los Arqueros or  La Quinta Resorts.

Perhaps, these are not the best places to buy into !

i did live round that area for a while.

the place i lived in i think i was the only one paying rent and there had been people in some of the houses that had paid a few months rent and never paid anything again since but were still living there.
